1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small records stored in your browser. localStorage and sessionStorage are browser storage mechanisms, not cookies. This page explains these technologies on the SwissOffices website, their purposes and your choices.
A record stored under swissoffices.com is not necessarily essential or processed only by SwissOffices. The durations describe browser storage; they are not the retention periods for form submissions or data held in providers' systems.
2. Categories and tools
- Essential: Remembering cookie choices and operations needed to provide the service securely.
- Functional: Supporting features such as WordPress browser rendering compatibility tests.
- Analytics: Measuring page use and related events with Google Analytics 4. The third-party analytics tool loads according to your analytics choice.
- Marketing: Google advertising measurement, Meta Pixel and OpenAI advertising measurement for click/conversion attribution and related advertising functions. These tools load according to your advertising and remarketing choice.
Google Tag Manager manages these tools' tags; it is not a single cookie. The site's own traffic-source record and WordPress compatibility record are listed separately below. Form security verification uses ALTCHA hosted with the site.
3. Cookie and browser storage inventory
The table is based on the current site code and its provider tools. Conditional records do not appear on every visit. Provider defaults and code-defined durations are identified; browser limits may shorten them. Unconfirmed durations are marked. “Tab session” means the relevant browser tab session; browser session restoration may extend storage.
| Record and provider | Category / type | Purpose and data processed | Duration | When it runs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| swissoffices-cookie-preferences · SwissOffices | Essential / preference management · localStorage | Analytics and advertising choices, selection date and notice version; remembers your choice. | The choice is valid for 180 days; the stored record may remain until cleared or replaced. | When you save a choice. |
| wpEmojiSettingsSupports · WordPress | Functional · sessionStorage | Emoji/flag rendering test results and timestamp; caches browser compatibility. | Tab session; timestamp-based retesting may apply. | On page load; not an advertising measurement tool. |
| so80_attribution_v1 · SwissOffices | Analytics / first-party source attribution · sessionStorage | First/last traffic source and UTM values after consent; referring origin, landing pathname without query, and consent version/time. Added to an enquiry only with current analytics consent. Full URLs and raw query strings are not stored; UTM values are separate fields. | Tab session; removed when analytics consent is withdrawn or invalid. | Only after valid analytics consent. |
| _ga, _ga_* (for this measurement: _ga_J2B40J9725) · Google Analytics | Analytics · cookie | Browser/client identifier and session state; measures page use, enquiries and telephone clicks. | Provider default: 2 years; settings and browser limits may change this. | With analytics permission; names and creation depend on the provider version. |
| _gcl_*; conditional _gcl_ls · Google advertising measurement / Conversion Linker | Marketing · cookie / localStorage | Associates advertising click identifiers with conversions. | Depends on the record and provider settings; exact expiry on this site has not yet been verified. | With advertising permission and applicable click/tag conditions; not every record appears on every visit. |
| _fbp · Meta Pixel | Marketing · cookie | Browser identifier and timestamp for advertising performance and remarketing. | Provider default: 90 days; browser limits may apply. | With advertising and remarketing permission. |
| _fbc · Meta Pixel | Marketing · conditional cookie | Meta advertising click identifier and timestamp for click/conversion matching. | Depends on provider settings; site-specific expiry has not been verified. | With advertising permission when relevant click information is available. |
| __obref · OpenAI advertising measurement | Marketing · cookie | Random browser reference for advertising and conversion measurement. | Inspected SDK configuration: 365 days. | With advertising permission when the measurement tool starts. |
| __oppref · OpenAI advertising measurement | Marketing · conditional cookie | Stores the oppref advertising click reference from the URL. | Inspected SDK configuration: 30 days. | With advertising permission when the relevant click reference exists. |
| __oaiq_consent / oaiq_consent · OpenAI | Advertising tool consent management · cookie / localStorage | Remembers the advertising tool's consent state (true/false). | Cookie: 30 days. localStorage: no automatic expiry defined; until cleared or replaced. | During the advertising tool's consent operation; this does not itself grant advertising permission. |
| oaiq_cs:* · OpenAI | Advertising measurement session / consent management · sessionStorage | Pixel-specific session and consent state markers. | Tab session. | During the advertising tool's applicable session flow. |
| __oaiq_domain_probe · OpenAI | Advertising tool domain test · temporary cookie | A fixed test value used to determine the domain on which a cookie can be set. | Configured for at most 60 seconds; deleted after the test. | Conditionally when the advertising tool runs. |
| so-chatgpt-form-* · SwissOffices / OpenAI measurement | Marketing / conversion deduplication · sessionStorage | Prevents the same form reference from being counted twice in advertising measurement. | Tab session. | With advertising permission after an eligible successful sales enquiry event. |
An asterisk (*) marks a name segment that varies with a measurement, pixel or form identifier. Creation of the previously listed swissoffices-route-version record has not been confirmed in the current version, so it is not included in the active inventory.
4. Changing your choices
On your first visit, you can Accept all, Reject optional cookies or Choose preferences. Analytics and advertising/remarketing choices are separate and off by default. Continuing to browse or closing the panel is not consent.
Use this button or the cookie icon at the bottom left to change your choices. Disabling third-party measurement permission applies the choice and reloads the page when needed. You may also clear previous records through your browser's site-data settings; withdrawing permission does not automatically delete all historical data from providers' systems.
The preference panel controls third-party tools and first-party source attribution. Without analytics consent, attribution, campaign, device-class and browser-name fields are not added to enquiries for analytics. WordPress display compatibility is a technical function with no separate preference toggle.
Cookie permission is separate from permission for promotional email, SMS or telephone calls. Commercial communication choices are managed separately.
5. Providers and international transfers
Google Analytics and advertising measurement, Meta Pixel and OpenAI advertising measurement are managed through Google Tag Manager. Depending on your analytics or marketing choice, these services may receive online identifiers, browser/device information, page and referral information, advertising click references and form-success or phone-click events. Their global infrastructure may process these data outside Türkiye.
A first-party cookie does not establish that the data remain in Türkiye. Cookie consent and the legal requirements for international transfers are assessed separately. Regular transfers require an applicable mechanism under Article 9 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law; cookie consent alone does not establish compliance with those requirements.
