Each company is a data controller for the processing activities whose purposes and means it determines. In these texts, “Company” means the company identified in the documents for your particular transaction and process.
This notice applies to CCTV controlled by the company identified as controller on the notice at the entrance to the monitored area. It covers CCTV managed by SwissOffices.
1. Data and purpose
Your image and recording time in monitored common areas are processed for physical security, protection of life and property, prevention of unauthorised access, and prevention and investigation of security incidents. No audio is recorded.
2. Method and legal ground
Images are collected electronically through CCTV. Article 5(2)(f) KVKK applies to the legitimate interest in security without harming fundamental rights and freedoms. Separate preservation of footage needed for an incident or claim is assessed under Article 5(2)(e), establishing, exercising or protecting a right.
3. Retention
Footage is retained for 15 days from recording and then removed through the normal deletion cycle. If a specific security incident or legal dispute arises, only the relevant recording may be preserved for a necessary and proportionate additional period. The January/July disposal schedule does not extend the ordinary 15-day period.
4. Access and disclosure
Access is limited to authorised personnel whose duties require it. Where a particular incident requires it, footage may be disclosed to legal-support providers and, on duly made requests, competent public, judicial or administrative authorities under Article 8. CCTV and website analytics/advertising are separate processing activities.
5. Rights
Under Article 11 of Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), you may learn whether your data are processed; request information about processing; learn its purpose and whether data are used accordingly; learn the recipients in Türkiye or abroad; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request erasure or destruction when the legal conditions are met; request notification of correction, erasure or destruction to recipients; object to an adverse result arising solely from automated analysis; and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Use the methods on the Your rights and requests page.
